Our Core Initiatives

Headway Foundation was incepted with the thought of empowering the youth to pursue their dreams and lead a thriving life. We believe that no single focus area can deliver that aspiration. Therefore, the organization looks at it as holistic development of society. We believe that the holistic development of society is only possible when each individual irrespective of their gender, religion, caste or anyother categorization, gets a quality education, aspired skills, and opportunities to earn a respectable living within a safe and secure environment to thrive. With that thought, the Foundation has identified4 focus areas of impact.

QUALITY EDUCATION

Headway Foundation empowers marginalized students through free education, coaching, career guidance, library access, and financial support.

SKILLING & LIVELIHOOD

Why We Exist ?

Headway Foundation was born out of a shared dream by a few young individuals from Tanda who, after receiving quality education, returned to uplift their own community. Recognising the challenges they faced growing up—lack of access, guidance, and opportunities—they came together in 2011 to offer free coaching and career guidance to students from marginalised backgrounds.

Formally registered in 2017 under the Societies Registration Act, Headway Foundation has evolved into a dynamic civil society organisation. What began as small coaching sessions has transformed into a robust model of community-based development.

Today, Headway aligns its work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a strong focus on education, skill development, health, and empowerment. Through its various programs, the Foundation has reached over 2,000 individuals and families across Ambedkar Nagar—building not just opportunities, but hope.
